Atelier de Tressage welcomes you to the heart of the Marais to introduce you to the art of Kumihimo braiding on ancestral Japanese looms called Marudai. Our workshops take place at the shop Les petits pots d’Alice, just a few steps away from our main atelier.

Master the Art of Traditional Kumihimo
Our specialized training sessions allow you to understand the mechanics of Kumihimo braiding and learn how to braid on traditional Japanese looms known as Marudai. Our mission is to pass on and share our rare and exceptional craftsmanship through a unique, hands-on craft experience.
During your Kumihimo workshop, you will:
- Choose your materials: Select from our eco-responsible yarns (linen, organic cotton, recycled polyester, or wool).
- Prepare your tools: Learn how to wind the thread onto specialized bobbins.
- Create your own braid: Share a unique moment with us and leave with your own handmade creation as a souvenir.
While visiting, you will also have the opportunity to discover our Made by Bobine collection, including signature shoelaces, the Tabcord stool, the CABA bag, and our high-end haberdashery (braids, ribbons, and cords).
